I had the great privilege of knowing Cindy Irwin, first through the retreats our church staff had with her (married couples and single staff, separately over a few weeks, at a great retreat spot in Granbury, TX); also through her time with us as our interim prayer pastor plus sharing weekly training with our staff.
The truths, the knowledge, the anointing that came through her truly affected my spiritual walk. I learned how to recognize who I really could be in Christ (to BE, not just 'do'), that it was I who makes the choice daily to walk in life or death (emotionally, spiritually) and so much more. I am so grateful for the time I got to be with Cindy. I treasure it.
When I met Steve for the first time, that was such a God-thing. As we chatted, we found out that we knew the same people in Arizona, he knew ministers that I knew, he knew the same places in town where I grew up, and the kicker was that he knew about Wallace & Ladmo (a children's TV program I watched daily as a child). It was great to meet someone who was so familiar with my home state! 😊
To be able to walk free, liberated in my calling is what makes me look to the future with greater hope and anticipation to what God is going to do for me, to me, and through me. The Irwins played a big part and I am so grateful.
